Vivette's Dance Studio Newsletter - Dec. 19

1.  STATEMENTS
: If you have a statement attached to this newsletter, you have a balance or a credit.
Credits are shown in parentheses.  ($00.00)
I have been working on the costume orders, have placed orders for another vendor and have reduced
charges for quite a few more classes.  Only one costume was higher than guessed, but those dancers also
had a costume much lower than guessed so it worked out!

I’ll continue to work on this through the end of the month as I finished placing the orders.  These are all
inclusive with tights, headpieces etc included.    Costumes yet to be dealt with are Mon Sr. Ballet, Tap, Jazz,
Hip Hop, and Pom, Wed African, Adult Ballet, Adult Jazz, and Belly dance.

Reminder that costume deposits are due.

2.  STARFEET: I have placed the orders for all Starfeet costumes, with the exception of one solo, and the
Senior team.   Those charges appear in your Starfeet category. Solo costumes do not include tights as that
would be  redundant.
Starfeet Christmas “party” is Sat 9:45 between technique and rehearsal for Devil with a Blue Dress.

3.  COOKIE DOUGH FUNDRAISER: Credits for cookie dough were applied on Friday, Dec. 9th.

4.  HOLIDAY BREAK: We will be closed Monday, December 19th through Sunday, Jan 1st.  Monday dancers
will have class Monday, Jan 2nd even if USD 305 is still closed.  I made this decision to enable the older
dancers to study for finals on Tue and Wed, and to allow parents to attend their dancers school programs
during this week without conflicts.
I will probably be at the studio each day Mon-Wed for a little bit, mail and payments may be dropped in
our security mailbox.  I’ll be checking the mail each day during the break.

5.  HOODIES and T-shirts: I did not have enough orders to place the order, but a few more have come in,
so I think we are close. Charges will be posted when items are ordered.  So, there is still time to order if you
think your dancer would like a studio hoodie or t-shirt. Will not be ready in time for Christmas.

6.  MAC N CHEESE FOR THE FOOD BANK: So many dancers have brought in donations of mac n cheese
for our tree, the stars are multiplying! You still have time this week to bring in a box or two and add your
dancers star to the tree.  One caring dancer will win the snowman. I did a kindness for someone and was
given the snowman as a thank you, and I want to pass it on to someone else who has done a good deed as a
thank you.

7.  HOLIDAY BOWL: Our dancers are practicing their routines. They received their costumes and are
anxious for the adventure to start.  They leave Dec. 26th.  Thanks to Chelle for organizing all of it!

8.  PERFORMANCE:  We will be performing our Holiday dances on Saturday, Jan 7th at 3:30 Drury Place
Retirement Home. (We danced here at Halloween also). I’ll have a list up the 1st week back of the show order.

All the staff at Vivette’s Dance Studio want to wish you a very Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year!
We hope that 2011 was a good year for you and that 2012 will be even better.  We know that the
economy is tough on all of us, but if we all work together we’ll make it through!
We have the best dancers in Salina; dancers who love to dance and show that love in every song and
step they do.  We are very proud to be able to work with your children. They are beautiful dancers and warm
and caring people.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!
Miss Vivette, Miss Chelle, Miss Rachel, Miss Sarah and Miss Anna
