| August Newsletter - 2010 Hi all! It’s Miss V just checking in! I hope you have had a fabulous summer and are ready to get back into the “swing” of things with school and dance. We had an interesting summer with dance and technique classes, learning new skills. Our Beach Baby Pre K Mini Camp was a blast! We learned the "Beach Baby " dance, made ocean and beach crafts and even cooled off in a swimming pool on the last day. Miss V has been extremely busy in the studio during August. She's painted the lobby, stripped and polished floors, completely organized the costume closet, and storage closet. (all props and costumes have been "ized" organized, catergorized and itemized). She's filled the trash cart completely 3 times with all the stuff she's thrown out! Feels good to purge! Miss Chelle has repainted Studio B in some bright and exciting colors. Wait till you see it! NEW! ONLINE REGISTRATION! Check it out! If you haven't picked your classes yet take advantage of our online registration. You'll still have to stop in studio sometime to sign contract and pay fees. Both HipHop classes only have 2 openings. Mon 7-9th ballet was so popular that we've opened the Wed 10-12th ballet to 9th graders too. OPEN HOUSE AND DANCE WEAR SALES: Saturday the 14th was a busy day! 31 dancers and families came in to meet, greet, eat and shop. Those shoes were ordered on Tuesday the 17th. Saturday the 21st is our last open house 1-5pm. Stop by to order shoes and dance wear, our new Celebrate Autumn parade shirts will be available to order, and eat a few munchies. Hope you can stop in because it makes the 1st week so much less hectic. We'd really like to teach dance the first day, not fit shoes. Several online options for dancewear are www.discountdance.com www.danceadvantage.com www.curtaincallforclass.com Miss Sarah will be present to help with ordering, registration and other needs. Have your picture taken with our ballerina cutout created by 10th grader, Shelly Beasely our own resident artist! If you had your picture taken on the 14th they are on the front bulletin board ready to take home. |
