November 4th Newsletter

November 4th

Only 27% of our studio families opened the email sent last week that means that 73% did not get information from me.  So, I’m sending home a paper copy of this week’s email. I try not to “flood” you with unnecessary information, I get enough deletable emails myself every day, but communication is important to me.

New families!  We welcome new dancers to our Twinkle Tots Session 2 class,  our Tuesday Comets class and our Thursday Meteors class.  In addition Michael “Mongoose” Young will begin teaching Martial arts in our space in November. He is totally in charge of his program, so I will direct any questions to him. There are a lot of similarities between dance and Martial arts, especially the discipline and the katas.

November Split Challenge

In November we challenge the dancers to work on their 3 splits, right front, left front and middle aka "banana" splits. Helping your child to stretch a little every day will help them to achieve their goal. Each child is different, some like Miss V have to work very hard for any flexibility and some are natural born "Gumby" kids.

Performances

The residents of Eaglecrest really enjoyed our performance on Sat, Nov. 2nd. Dancers received a SwagTag for performing.

We will have 1 more performance of our fall dances on Saturday Nov. 16 at Brookdale at Fairdale, 2251 E. Crawford at 3pm.   We will keep practicing our fall dances in class as they contain important skills for the dancers to work on.

Save the Date

We will again be performing at the City Christmas Party on Dec. 8th. Time will be announced later. We will be working hard on our new routines to learn them quickly!

I have skirts and accessories for the dancers to wear over their class leotards.

Studio closing

The studio will be closed Wed Nov 27th-Sunday Dec. 1 for Thanksgiving. I will be traveling to Omaha to see my family. I haven’t seen them since Easter and I’m eager to see how much my two Gnieces Lakely (age 2) and Genevieve (18 months) have grown.
